Obama and the Business World - Columbia Career Management | Examiner.com

The president and his team of elected officials have made and are continuing to make plans and decisions that do not help the public or economy. For instance, they are all planning to end former President Bush's tax cut, thinking that this decision will help the economy. The keyword here is "thinking." Sound decision making is not based off of something we think will work but, based on factual evidence or history. Unfortunately, Presidents Obama's lack of experience in the business world is keeping him from coming up with a successful plan for stimulating business and the economy.

Business Management

Unfortunately, employees do not work like this in the real world. In order to be an effective leader that employees respect you must: know what you are talking about (not just pretend that you do), not be afraid to get involved and help out (remember you are not a superior being, you just have a different title), and be an effective communicator.
